And Then She Was Done: A Whimsical Bike, Indeed
Well, not quite yet.
When I saw her dangling there, paint job complete, I screamed. Yes. For real. I yelped and shouted and hopped up and down. I couldn’t believe it.
I said. Over and over again. Little tear droplets escaped my eyes. She needed to be put back together, like NOW. But first she had to be sanded, buffed ($7), and waxed, and then carted back home to be reassembled. I started feeling like I would never be able to ride her again! C’mon Jason, what’s taking so long!!
THE BIG REVEAL
Okay, no more teasing. No more talking about it, it’s time to post some pictures of my *new* bike. Dear readers, please meet (Name pending…but so far BUBBLES is in the lead).
Isn’t she pretty?? Not convinced? Here’s a photo with a nifty filter on it:
Still not convinced? Well, how about comparing what she looked like before?
If you’re still not convinced, then do whatever the blog equivalent of “get off my lawn!” is (I guess that’d be to just exit out of this window….)
She’s still missing her rack (that got painted blue, too!) and I have to get some pictures of me riding the bike. But I think these pictures do for now.
Thanks for reading!! Those who follow me on twitter and/or instagram (@echointhecity) have heard snippets on this story as it occurred. Thanks for all your comments and shared excitement!
